WithumSmith+Brown Managing Partner Receives Humanitarian of the Year Award

WithumSmith+Brown, PC, Managing Partner and CEO, William R. Hagaman, Jr., CPA, was honored with the Humanitarian Award by the American Conference on Diversity Central Jersey Chapter during its annual Business and Youth Awards Reception on May 31st at the Renaissance Woodbridge Hotel in Iselin, NJ. Hagaman was one of three honorees, including Elijah's Promise for the Community Service Award and Siemens Corporation for the Corporate Citizen Award.

Hagaman was honored in recognition for his commitment to philanthropic endeavors. Currently, he is a member of the Board of Trustees of the Francis E. Parker Memorial Home and Treasurer of the Hyacinth AIDS Foundation, both based in New Brunswick, NJ, and a member of the Board of the New Jersey State Chamber of Commerce. He is also the current Chairman and former Treasurer of the New Brunswick Cultural Center, Inc., and an executive committee member and former Chairman of the George Street Playhouse.  Previously, he was treasurer and former chairman of the Middlesex County Regional Chamber of Commerce.

Hagaman humbly acknowledged the award by stating, "I accept this not on behalf of myself, but on behalf of the 450 staff at my Firm, WithumSmith+Brown, who - as individuals or in teams - are out almost every weekend, walking, bicycling, running, or parading with their pets, all for the sake of helping others in need.  You see, WithumSmith+Brown is committed to fulfilling our social responsibility to the community, and this ideal has been woven into the moral fabric of the Firm for nearly 40 years."
