The purpose of HLB’s Women in Accounting programme, launched in 2011, is to help member firms attract and most importantly retain women staff throughout their careers. HLB encourages member firms to consider female talents as an investment which as such should not be lost with women having to leave in order to create a family.
In March 2012 a survey has been carried out amongst member firms in order to assess the situation in the network and determine next steps.
A “raise awareness” policy is systematically implemented while such best practices as coaching, mentoring, networking and providing role models are encouraged in member firms along with the setting up of measures allowing flexible career path and work management.
