HLB INTERNATIONAL APPOINTS NEW MEMBER TO ITS UK FEDERATION

HLB International, the international accountancy network, has signed its fifth member firm to its UK federation. Joining the network is Evolution Business and Tax Advisors LLP (Evolution) based in Teesside, North East England.

Rob Tautges, Chief Executive at HLBI commented: "A strong UK presence is essential for the global success of HLB International. The addition of Evolution LLP to our HLB UK federation further strengthens our geographic coverage in the UK with a firm that shares HLBI's commitment to outstanding accounting, business advisory and taxation services that are truly local in touch and global in reach."

Evolution, representing HLBI in the North East of England, underwent rigorous assessments regarding the business culture, quality of work, competence of employees, policies and procedures to join the four other UK firms in the HLB UK federation.

Joanne Regan FCA, Client Partner and Head of Audit, responsible for the application to become part of the network, said: "This is very exciting news for both us and the North East as we will now be representing the region on a global scale. HLB International is represented in over 100 countries. This is a huge benefit when advising our clients as any international interests, currently and in the future, can be catered for in house. If tax advice is needed about a project in the Middle East or Australia, we can do that through the HLB member firms. Equally we can advise on incoming business, for example a Russian company looking to set-up in the North East."

The federation HLB UK, formed in 2010, now comprises of Menzies LLP, Hazlewoods LLP, Hawsons, Lovewell Blake LLP and Evolution LLP.
