HLB INTERNATIONAL APPOINTS NEW MEMBER IN VIETNAM

HLB International, the international accountancy network, has signed a new member firm in Vietnam.  Joining the network is Auditing and Accounting Financial Consultancy Service Company Limited (AASC).

AASC, founded in 1991, is one of the first two state accounting and consulting firms that were established by the Ministry of Finance in Vietnam before its privatisation in 2007. Today AASC is one of the few largest firms in Vietnam operating in the fields of accounting, auditing, consultancy and taxation.

James Frost, chief operating officer at HLBI, commented: "We have seen an increasing flow of business into Vietnam over the last couple of years as it is viewed as a viable alternative in Asia for well priced and reliable production centres. AASC has a long track record handling international companies setting up in Vietnam. Their membership in HLB strengthens our regional offering to both existing and prospective clients. AASC's ambition to continue the firm's growth and development and to reach out internationally made them a very attractive proposition to us and we are delighted to welcome them to HLB."

AASC's clients include a large number of listed companies, financial investment organisations and banks, government-owned and foreign companies and project management units as well as international credit organisations.

"Our decision to join HLB International is part of our strategic plan to integrate and strengthen the professional services of our international practice and to respond to the various needs of the market. Throughout 20 years of operation, AASC has been providing quality services to our clients in a variety of areas such as auditing, accounting, consultation and taxation, privatization and more" said Ngo Duc Doan, chairman - general director at AASC.

AASC, with 33 partners and 282 staff, is ranked 6th amongst auditing companies in Vietnam. The firm has its headquarters in Hanoi as well as branch office in Ho Chi Minh City and a representative office in the Quang Ninh province.
