Our Managing Partner, Mr Raymond Cheng and Mr Tang Ching Ho, Chairman of Wang On Group Limited, our HKEx listed client donated HK$400,000 for reconstruction of "龍頭小學" in Guangxi Yulin Our Managing Partner, Mr Raymond Cheng visited Guangxi Yulin to attend a donation ceremony for the reconstruction of "龍頭小學" in Yulin, Guangxi on 21 December 2010. The Municipal Committee and other leaders were delighted to see Mr Cheng and presented the thank you plaque at the ceremony. Mr Cheng also presented souvenirs to the students and sent his blessings. He will continue to support the school’s educational development. Appointment of Deputy Managing Partner
 HLB Hodgson Impey Cheng are pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Jonathan Lai as Deputy Managing Partner of the firm with effect from 1 January 2011.
Mr Jonathan Lai qualified as a Chartered Accountant in London, the United Kingdom in 1997 before joining HLB Hodgson Impey Cheng in 1998. He was admitted as a Partner in 2002. Mr Lai specialises in audit of Hong Kong and overseas listed entities, investment funds and SFC licensed corporations. He is also a Certified Fraud Examiner and is experienced in fraud investigations and litigation support.

 Mr David Cho has been appointed Head of Greater China Tax of HLB Hodgson Impey Cheng Taxation Services Limited with effect from 1 January 2011. Mr Cho joined HLB Hodgson Impey Cheng Taxation Services Limited Managing Director and Head of Tax in 2010. Professional Development Seminar
 HLB Hodgson Impey Cheng and Institute of Accountants Exchange (IAE) jointly organized a successful Professional Development Seminar (PDS) on 22 November 2010. Our Managing Partner, Mr Raymond Cheng, Convenor of the PDS, and also Council Member of IAE, delivered the welcome speech. Mr David Cho, Managing Director of HLB Hodgson Impey Cheng Taxation Services Limited gave a presentation on "Major PRC tax issues related to operational and investment activities in the PRC" and "Recent PRC tax developments affecting overseas enterprises". Over 150 senior management personnel of Hong Kong and overseas listed companies attended the PDS.

HLB Scheme - Ecotourism to Hong Kong Geopark  The "HLB - Healthy Life Basic" Scheme aims at maintaining a good work-life balance for our staff. On 27 November 2010, we organized the "Ecotourism to Hong Kong Geopark". The Tai Po Geoheritage Centre staff provided an interesting talk about the special geological information of Hong Kong to our staff members. The ecotour has been well received. We will continue to provide further activities to maintain work-life balance of our staff udner the "HLB - Healthy Life Basic" Scheme. |
